And other important topics

Travel is one of those things that naturally gives rise to queries, concerns and doubts, so we’re here to put your mind at ease.

  • At Jolly Good Times Sailing, we're all about a chill, sustainable adventure in Norway, far from your average yacht vacation. You'll be sailing in Lofoten, Vesterålen or anywhere in our decided destination with us, the folks who own the place, for a super personal and truly local touch on your trip.

We've got the skills to manage the boat top to bottom, but if you're up for it, jumping in and learning the ropes makes for a real hands-on sailing experience. Don't worry if you're not a pro – we're here to guide you, and you can do as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.

Our sailing trips are short and sweet – think half-day cruises along the stunning Norwegian coast. There's plenty of time to soak up the views, go for a hike, or just kick back and relax.

We love anchoring out in the open – it's quieter, you've got the place to yourself, and hey, you can even take a dip in the water on a whim. This is slow travel at its best: taking your time to connect with nature, learn a bit of sailing, and just enjoy the quiet pace of life on the water.

  • The kind of food we eat on board is delicious, healthy and high quality. “Kitchen Captain” Maria is an amazing cook who loves to feed our guests. Maria is in charge of the galley, and guests take turns to help prepare meals if they want to... This makes the experience more fun for everybody. Plant-based food is Maria's favourite, but her menu never lacks sea food (often the catch of the day!) or a good dish where meat is the star and protagonist.

Let us know if you have any dietary requirements so we can cater to your needs.

  • As well as awesome experiences while sailing in Norway’s most beautiful nature and the opportunity to learn how to sail, all meals, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages like tea, coffee, water and juice are included. Beds, pillows, linen, hand towels and duvets are provided so no need to think more about that.

All the boat’s running expenses such as fuel and harbour fees are covered in the price.

  • You should bring as little as possible but everything you need depending on the experience you have booked.

A full list of details with what to bring will be provided prior to departure in order for you to pack appropriately for every trip.

Pack smart and efficiently, and bring your things in soft bags.

For longer stays (5 days or more), a tiny washing machine is available for small amounts of clothing (detergent included).
